About Me

My journey and philosophy

I was born and raised in a small community surrounded by the wisdom of nature in Kyoto, Japan. Community and nature were harmoniously intertwine in my daily life. Raised among the practices of holistic care, meditation, and mindful living, I learned early on that the true essence of well-being comes from the light within.

Life later took me from the peaceful rhythms of my hometown to the fast-paced energy of urban life. I gradually drifted from that natural way of being. I became disconnected from my body, my breath, my truth. I forgot how to listen to the quiet voice within.

It was through yoga, meditation, and healing practice, that I found my way back. Slowly, breath by breath, I began to feel again. To listen. To remember. These practices became my bridge—from self-doubt to self-love, from numbness to presence, from a life of doing to a life of being. I reconnected with my inner light .

Now, I hold space to share that timeless light with others to reconnect with their own light—where we come home to ourselves. My offerings are not just practices—they are invitations to connect with yourself, to cultivate your true balance, live in alignment with your truth, and to embrace joy and peace that have always been within you.

  1. Yin Yoga —slow-paced, meditative style of yoga that focuses on deep release and inner awareness. Through long-held, passive postures, it targets the body’s deep connective tissues—such as fascia, ligaments, and joints—while stimulating energetic meridians and energy centers. This practice invites stillness, quietude, and the opportunity to turn inward, supporting both physical and energetic balance.

  2. Restorative Yoga—gentle, soothing practice that invites deep rest and healing. Using supportive props such as bolsters, blankets, and blocks, each pose is held for several minutes, allowing the body to fully relax and release tension without effort. This practice activates the parasympathetic nervous system—the body’s natural relaxation response—helping to reduce stress, calm the mind, and restore balance to the entire being.

  3. Sound Healing – Through the therapeutic vibrations of sacred instruments like singing bowls you’ll be gently guided into a meditative state where your brain waves shift from active to calm, dreamy and deeply restorative states. The vibrations work through the energetic and cellular layers of your body, supporting emotional release, energetic balance, and a profound sense of peace.

  4. Chair Yoga – Chair Yoga with Izumi is a unique experience that goes beyond physical movement. Rooted in mindfulness, each class is a gentle journey into breath, posture, and presence. using a chair for support, allowing you to safely explore your body’s potential. With a deep emphasis on breathwork and proper alignment, you’ll stretch areas of the body that often go unnoticed in daily life—releasing tension, improving posture, and feeling good from the inside out, and restore balance from the inside out.

  5. Laughter yoga —A playful, joyful practice that blends intentional laughter with breath work to reduce stress, uplift mood, and bring people together

  6. Chakra Dance - Through guided dance sequences focused on the body’s energy centers (chakras), participants can release stress, balance physically, mentally, and energetically, and activate new levels of inner potential.

  7. Astro Yoga - Combines astrological concepts with yoga poses and sequences. This approach helps align your inner rhythm with cosmic cycles, fostering deeper self‑acceptance and energetic flow
